+86-13760248334 Building Intercom System Configuration Guide - 3: Two-Way Addition and Mutual Calling Between Central Control Panels
2026-01-06
I. Prerequisites
- Ensure that the two central control panels (S10 and P8) are on the same local area network (LAN) to avoid device search failures or call anomalies caused by network isolation.
- The Smart Access plugin has been installed and enabled on both devices.
- Prepare the login password for the Local setting of the central control panels.
II. Operation Steps
Step 1: Add Device (Add P8 on S10)
- Swipe down the notification bar at the top of S10, tap Apps, find and access the Smart Access plugin.
- Tap the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the plugin interface, select Local setting, and enter the correct password to access the configuration page.
- On the local setting page, tap the Addresses option, then click the Add button to enter the device information entry interface, ready to input P8's device information.
Step 2: Obtain P8's Key Configuration Information
- On the P8 central control panel, launch the Smart Access plugin and tap Settings in the upper right corner.
- After entering the settings page, the complete device information (including Local address, IP Address and other core content) will be displayed at the top of the page. Please record all the information accurately; it will be used for device entry on S10.
Step 3: Information Entry and Two-Way Addition
- Return to the device information entry interface on S10 and fill in the content as follows
- Device type: Select smart host.
- Code field: Fill in the information from P8's Local address in sequence. Note that the order cannot be reversed; otherwise, device matching will fail.
- Position field: You may fill in the device name or installation location (e.g., "Office P8") for easy multi-device management in the future.
- IP Address field: Enter the IP address of the P8 central control panel.
- Serial num: This is an optional field and can be filled in according to actual needs.
- After completing the entry, click the Save button to finish adding P8 on S10.
-
- Switch to P8 and repeat Steps 1 to 3 above to enter S10's device information into P8, completing the two-way addition of the two devices.
III. Mutual Call Test Operation
After completing the two-way addition, you can perform a point-to-point mutual call test between the two central control panels. The operation steps are as follows:
- On either device, open the Smart Access plugin and find the Call option in the menu.
- In the address book list, select the added target device (e.g., select P8 on S10 or select S10 on P8) and tap it to initiate a call.
- After the target device receives the call request, a call connection will be established, enabling point-to-point voice calls.
IV. Precautions
- Both devices must be on the same LAN. If used across different network segments, configure routing forwarding rules in advance.
- When entering the Code, strictly follow the sequence of the Local address. An incorrect order will result in device recognition failure.
- It is recommended to configure a fixed IP address for each device to avoid IP changes caused by DHCP dynamic allocation, which may affect the mutual calling function between devices.
- If a call failure occurs, check the following items in order: network connection status, accuracy of device information entry, and consistency of the Smart Access plugin version.
V. Conclusion
Through the above steps, you can complete the two-way addition and point-to-point mutual call configuration of two central control panels. For instructions on group call management for multiple devices, refer to other configuration guides in the Tutorials & Guides section of our official website.
