+86-13760248334 Building Intercom System Configuration Guide - 1: Operation Process for Adding Central Control Panel to Building Intercom
2026-01-05
I. Tutorial Overview
This tutorial will detail the system configuration method for adding a central control panel to a Building Intercom. Users can complete the deployment by following the steps below step by step. During the operation, special attention should be paid to key points such as the device network environment, IP settings, and password specifications to ensure the configuration is completed smoothly.
II. Preparations and Key Notes
Before starting the configuration, please confirm that the following prerequisites are met and keep in mind the following key notes:
- Network Environment Requirements: All devices (Building Intercom, central control panel) must be on the same local area network (LAN) with consistent IP network segments. It is recommended to plan the network architecture in advance to avoid configuration failures due to network isolation.
- IP Setting Recommendations: To ensure stable device connection, it is recommended to set a static IP for each central control panel and Building Intercom to avoid device disconnection caused by dynamic IP allocation.
- Universal Default Password: The universal default password for this system is 516516, which is used for operations such as logging in to the device settings interface and modifying group/room information. Please keep it properly and can be modified as needed later.
III. Detailed Operation Steps
Step 1: Obtain Core Information of Central Control Panel and Configure Group Number
In this step, you need to first obtain the key device information (Local address and IP address) on the central control panel and uniformly configure the group number to prepare for subsequent addition to the Building Intercom.
- Turn on the central control panel, swipe down the notification bar, find and click to open the access control plugin Smart Access.
- After entering the main interface of the plugin, click to enter the Settings Interface. In the "Device Information" module, view and accurately record the "Local address" (local address) and "IP address" (IP address). It is recommended to take a photo or record it by hand to avoid information omission.
- (Optional Operation) If you need to modify the group and room information, find and enter Local settings in the settings interface, enter the default password 516516 to complete the login, uniformly set the group number to 999 (uniform group number facilitates subsequent device management and call testing), and save and exit after the setting is completed.
Step 2: Add a Single Central Control Panel to the Building Intercom
After obtaining the key information of the central control panel, complete the addition and configuration of a single central control panel through the menu function of the Building Intercom.
- Operate the Building Intercom, enter the main interface, find and click the"Menu" button.
- In the menu list, select and enter the "Room Management" module. The system will prompt you to enter a password. Enter the universal default password 516516 to complete the verification.
- After successful verification, click the "Plus Sign" button on the interface to enter the new device configuration interface.
- According to the central control panel's "Local address" and "IP address" recorded in Step 1, accurately fill in the corresponding configuration items (such as device name, IP address, local address, etc., the specific fields are subject to the device interface display).
- After filling in the information, click the "Save" button, wait for the system to complete the configuration synchronization, and exit the room management interface after the synchronization is completed.
Step 3: Single-Panel Call Function Test
After the addition is completed, a call test needs to be performed to verify whether the connection between the central control panel and the Building Intercom is normal and ensure that the video call function can be used normally.
- Return to the main desktop of the Building Intercom, find and click the name of the added central control panel (i.e., the device name configured in Step 2).
- After clicking, the system will initiate a video call request. Observe whether the central control panel can normally receive the call, whether the video screen is clear, and whether the audio is normally transmitted.
- If the call is successful and the audio and video are normal, it indicates that the configuration is completed; if the call fails, please check the following contents: ① Whether the devices are on the same LAN; ② Whether the IP network segments are consistent; ③ Whether the configured address information is accurate; ④ Whether the devices are normally powered.
IV. Common Problem Troubleshooting
- Problem 1: Cannot find the Smart Access plugin on the central control panel? Solution: Please confirm that the corresponding access control plugin has been installed on the central control panel. If not installed, contact technical support to obtain the plugin installation package; if already installed, restart the device and try to find it in the notification bar again by swiping down.
- Problem 2: Prompt "Network Connection Failed" when adding a device? Solution: Check whether the devices are on the same LAN and whether the IP network segments are consistent; confirm whether the static IP setting is correct, and you can test the network connectivity between devices through the Ping command.
- Problem 3: No audio/video or stuttering audio/video during a call? Solution: Check whether the device network bandwidth is sufficient to avoid network congestion; confirm whether the device volume and camera are normally turned on; restart the device and test again.
